The students did well in their end of year exam, and they each wrote down what they had learnt this year, and what they want to learn next. And then they celebrated their hard work with tasty snacks. Pauline, the volunteer who teaches this class, has done a fantastic job and supported the students to make lots of progress this year.
Pride of Gorton Awards 2015
On Sunday 11th October Sisay and Rachel attended the Pride of Gorton Awards Ceremony at Gorton Monastery. Rainbow Haven was nominated by Wayne and Nabil, PCSOs who are regular visitors to our Gorton centre and supporters of our work, and we were delighted to win the Outstanding Service to the Community Award. Staff and volunteers at Rainbow Haven have all worked extremely hard this year, so it is a real pleasure to be acknowledged in this way.
